You will account for investment transactions in compliance with applicable regulations and support monitoring, governance, process improvements, and transaction controls-including activities performed by third-party accounting service providers. You will also contribute to initiatives that improve efficiency and add value while building your project management expertise and deepening your knowledge of investment product accounting and its financial impacts

The ImpactYour responsibilities supporting the mortgage loan and real estate investment areas will include:
- Review and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual reports prepared by the third-party administrator.
- Review financial statements, footnote schedules, regulatory filings, and management reports prepared by the third-party administrator.
- Analyze trends and results, partnering with peers and the Financial Reporting team to develop clear commentary that explains how performance affects financial results.
- Help prepare, analyze, and present monthly financial analysis reports to senior management.
- Support annual regulatory financial statement audit requests and participate in discussions with auditors.
- Identify opportunities to learn, grow, and strengthen team performance.
- Manage competing priorities, adapt quickly, and improve established processes to achieve goals efficiently.
- Identify and implement accounting improvements that increase efficiency and business value. Lead increasingly complex projects and continuous improvement efforts that may extend beyond the team's core responsibilities.
- Collaborate effectively with Accounting Policy, the Chief Investment Office, Tax, Financial Reporting, Capital Management, and business unit controllers.
- Implement new statutory and GAAP investment accounting requirements and establish accounting processes for new investments and investment-related transactions.
- Develop, document, and maintain a strong internal control framework that supports accurate, timely financial reporting. Recommend improvements, monitor investment accounting controls-including work performed by vendors-and ensure adherence to policies and procedures.
- Actively participate in implementing the Company's new ledger.
The Minimum Qualifications- Bachelor's degree
- 4+ years of investment accounting experience with increasing levels of responsibility
- 2+ years of experience with Microsoft Excel, including experience with complex formulas, PivotTables, data analysis and large financial datasets
The Ideal Qualifications- Experience with investment, loan, mortgage loan, and/or real estate accounting is a plus
- CPA designation or progress toward certification preferred
- Knowledge of statutory (STAT) and GAAP accounting
- Strong analytical skills, including the ability to interpret financial data and clearly communicate the story behind the results
- Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality work efficiently and operate with increasing independence
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships across cross-functional teams and with third parties
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present ideas clearly, professionally, and persuasively to leaders, colleagues, and third parties
- Ability to succeed in a dynamic, agile environment
- Intellectual curiosity and a commitment to continuous learning
Salary Range:$99,800-$131,000
