- Work closely with Investment Management and Operations on close cycles. Prepare and review internal and external audit request.
- Actively participate in the implementation of the Company's key projects, such as system improvement and implementation
- Responsible for ongoing activities as part of the monthly, quarterly and annual close cycles
- Execute processes and controls that support derivative accounting and controllership.
- Uses professional insight to identify and implement accounting improvements that increase the business value and efficiency of the team.
- Participating in problem solving to improve quality, cycle times, increase efficiencies, improve controls within the Investment Controllership team.
The Minimum Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree
- 4+ years of related work experience in investment/fund accounting or financial reporting with a track record of increasing responsibility
- 2+ years of experience with Microsoft Excel, including experience with complex formulas, PivotTables, data analysis and large financial datasets
The Ideal Qualifications:- 6+ years of related work experience
- CPA, CMA or equivalent designations preferred
- Experience in financial service industry or insurance company investment GAAP and Statutory accounting including Schedule DB
- Experience with Investment software such as Aladdin
- Strong analytical skills: ability to analyze financial data sets and tell the story of the data.
- Experience with SQL or data analytics software such as Tableau and Alteryx is a plus
- Proven ability to complete high quality work efficiently and increase autonomy over time
- Able to build and maintain strong working relationships across cross-functional groups
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to express ideas in and articulate in an organized and persuasive manner to internal and external stakeholders.
- Able to work well in a dynamic and agile environment while assisting the team in execution of various priorities and related deliverables
- Intellectual curiosity to continue learning and adding breadth and depth to understanding
- Experience analyzing new investments and accounting guidance to drive appropriate and preferred investment accounting and reporting across the Company and subsidiaries
- Experience with system conversion or subledger implementation

Salary Range:$99,800-$131,000
