In this role, the Neurophysiology Technician will have an Intraoperative focus onpopulations of all age groups, interacting with Neurosurgery, Orthopedic, Cardiac and Vascular teams. Set up patient for Operating Room monitoring with minimal supervision, including effectively andcooperatively partnering with the surgical and anesthesia teams. Perform electrode application in an anesthetizedpatient while adhering to scrupulous observance of sterile Operating Room protocols.Conduct electrode application using needle electrodes forintraoperative stimulation and recording.
The shift for this position is11:00 am - 7:00 pm plus on-call and weekend coverage as needed. Location is our Columbia campus in Upper Manhattan/Washington Heights.
PreferredCriteria
- Graduation from an accredited electroneurodiagnostic technology training program (Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP).
- Two years college.
Required Criteria
- High School diploma or GED.
- Certification in Neurophysiologic Intraoperative Monitoring (CNIM) required by the American Board of Registered Electroneurodiagnostics Technologists (ABRET).
- Graduation from an accredited neuroelectrodiagnostic training program or equivalent experience.
- Three to five years experience performing Electroencephalogram (EEG) and/or Evoked Potential (EP).
- Knowledge of applicable computer operating systems and software.
Salary Range:
$56.98/Hourly
