INTERNAL COMMUNICATIONS MANAGERRESPONSIBILITIES:- Advise senior executives on communications gaps and opportunities; turn them into plans that keep employees informed, aligned, and engaged
- Lead change communications for company-wide and cross-division initiatives so employees understand what is changing, why, and what it means for their work
- Build a connected, unified culture across divisions, locations, and newly joined teams
- Develop and lead internal leadership speaking programs (live, filmed, and other formats)
- Set communications strategy and standards so teams use the right tools and channels to reach their audience
- Own and scale the company intranet for diverse organizations; establish style guides, templates, and practices that raise quality
- Manage internal communications in crises
- Shape key internal announcements and narratives
- Use AI to scale communications, improve quality, and increase impact
- Ensure internal and external messages are consistent
- Define how we measure communications and change efforts, and adjust accordingly
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:- Bachelor's degree
- 5+ years of professional experience in business/organizational communications
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:- Experience in internal communications
- 10+ years of experience in communications or public relations
- Experience supporting change management
- Practical experience using AI tools to draft, produce, personalize, or scale communications
- Experience building employee communications or engagement across multiple business units or locations
- Impeccable writing skills
- Ability to quickly grasp and synthesize complex issues
- Established skills in strategic and critical thinking, decision-making, negotiation, and relationship-building
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to thrive under deadline pressure while executing multiple projects simultaneously
- Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic, results-oriented team environment
- Expert self-starter with extreme ownership; identifies what needs to be done and drives it to completion with little direction

- Ability to share writing samples and examples of previous internal communications campaigns, events, or leadership content
- Based on-site in Hawthorne, CA or the Bay Area, CA. Remote or hybrid work will not be considered
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:Pay Range:
Level 4: $165,000.00 - $240,000.00
Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.
Base salary is just one part of your total rewards package at SpaceX.
