Full Job Description
Responsibilities

  • Support the development, maintenance, and implementation of Quality Assurance standards to improve quality and timely delivery of projects
  • Compile, manage, and maintain Quality Control documents for use during the project and for archiving upon completion of the project
  • Provide Quality Control by reviewing Construction Documents for errors and omissions
  • Provide overall review of Construction Documents including implementing standards and checklists; reviewing for code compliance and constructability; providing red-lines; interactively following up and approving red-line correction; and providing advice to improve the quality of the Construction Documents
  • Interface and provide guidance to staff to ensure that the design fulfills requirements of Corgan and our Clients in a cost-effective, timely manner
  • Provide leadership on Construction Documentation
  • Be a key participant within the studio environment advancing shared knowledge and professional development
  • Provide mentoring for staff and cultivate environment of shared knowledge and learning
  • Create studio environment for shared knowledge and improvement
  • Interface and provide guidance to staff to ensure that the design fulfills client requirements in a cost-effective, timely manner
  • Provide leadership on construction documentation and provide "real time" contract administration guidance and problem resolution
  • Provide mentoring for staff and cultivate environment of shared knowledge and learning


Qualifications

  • This is an in-office position
  • 10+ years' experience in the entire design process, from inception through contract administration. With a focus on construction document phase of the process of the production projects.
  • A thorough understanding of industry codes, regulations and standards
  • Degree in architecture or interior design from an accredited program along with professional registration
  • Strong communication, management, and mentoring skills
  • Ability to manage through influence in a team environment
  • Experience in Revit is highly preferred
  • Support the development, maintenance, and implementation of Quality Assurance standards to improve quality and timely delivery of projects
  • Ability to introduce efficiencies and modern techniques to process
  • Provide Quality Control by reviewing Construction Documents for errors and omissions
  • Provide overall review of Construction Documents including implementing standards and checklists; reviewing for code compliance and constructability; providing red-lines; interactively following up with the team to discuss comments provided and providing advice to improve the quality of the Construction Documents
  • Provide leadership on Construction Documentation including working collaboratively with project teams to resolve code concerns and develop project specific details as well as leading formal training sessions with a larger group.
  • Be a key participant within the studio environment advancing shared knowledge and professional development
  • Provide mentoring for staff and cultivate environment of shared knowledge and learning

This position is designated as full-time on-site and requires the employee to be physically present at the assigned office location Monday through Friday during standard business hours. Regular, reliable on-site attendance is an essential function of this role.
