What you'll be doingAs an Integration & Test Specialist at Endurance Energy, you will work alongside mechanical, fluids, and electrical engineers to assemble, plumb, instrument, and test complex systems under real-world conditions.
You will be responsible for taking subsystems from parts to fully integrated hardware, pressure-tight, leak-free, instrumented, and ready for test. You will play a key role in debugging integration issues, improving build processes, and ensuring systems are safe and robust before deployment.
You are expected to operate with high ownership on the floor: driving build quality, identifying issues early, and pushing systems to readiness without waiting for direction.
This is a critical position where your speed, precision, and judgment directly impact our ability to hit hardware milestones on aggressive timelines.
Key Responsibilities- Assemble mechanical and fluid systems including pressure vessels, piping, valves, and heat exchangers
- Perform tubing and piping integration including routing, bending, cutting, and fitting
- Execute high-quality plumbing of test systems and subsea hardware (Swagelok, compression fittings, welded systems, etc.)
- Install sensors, instrumentation, and support hardware for test readiness
- Perform pressure testing, leak checking, and system validation (hydrostatic and pneumatic)
- Support system bring-up and debugging alongside engineering teams
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, P&IDs, and assembly documentation
- Identify and resolve fit-up, tolerance, and integration issues in real time
- Drive clean, organized, and repeatable build processes on the floor
- Document builds, test setups, and issues for engineering and QA traceability
- Support rapid prototyping and iteration under tight timelines
- Maintain a safe working environment when operating high-pressure and high-temperature systems
Qualifications- 5+ years of hands-on experience in mechanical assembly, fluid systems, or integration roles
- Demonstrated experience assembling and testing complex mechanical or fluid systems
- Strong experience with tubing, piping, fittings, and fluid system integration
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and P&IDs
- Experience with pressure testing, leak detection, and system validation
- Strong mechanical intuition and ability to troubleshoot integration issues quickly
- High attention to detail and craftsmanship in assembly work
- Track record of working effectively in fast-paced, prototype-driven environments
- High ownership mindset and ability to operate independently with minimal supervision
- Strong communication skills and ability to work closely with engineers
Preferred Skills- Experience with orbital tube welding and/or other high-reliability welding processes
- Background in high-pressure systems, process piping, or thermal systems
- Experience in marine, subsea, aerospace, or energy hardware environments
- Familiarity with Swagelok or equivalent fluid system standards and best practices
- Light fabrication and manual machining experience (lathe, mill, drill press)
- Experience supporting test operations and building custom test infrastructure
- Familiarity with cleanliness standards and contamination control for fluid systems
- Ability to contribute to fixture design and integration tooling
