Job Description
We are seeking an
Integration SCD Coordinator.This position will be located onsite in
COMNAVAIRPAC, San Diego, CA.The Integration SCD Coordinator serves within COMNAVAIRPAC N43, providing cross-organizational coordination and oversight of Ship Change Documents (SCDs) related to Combat Systems readiness, modernization, and maintenance for In-Service Aircraft Carriers (CVN). This position ensures proper integration, tracking, and reporting of SCDs across relevant stakeholders, including PARMs, SYSCOMs, PSNS, and other organizations. The candidate will work to identify, address, and mitigate gaps in communication, analysis, and reporting to enhance Combat Systems readiness and modernization efforts.
This position is directly aligned to COMNAVAIRPAC N43 and funded by CNAF to support Combat Systems initiatives. It requires active engagement with various stakeholders to streamline SCD processes, improve consistency in implementation, and provide decision-ready insights to COMNAVAIRPAC N43 leadership.
Note: While the Navy Data Environment (NDE) provides a centralized repository for SCDs, this role will enhance data management capabilities by improving integration, tracking, analysis, and reporting processes. This role will interface with NDE but is intended to complement and expand its functionality.
Duties- Coordinate the integration, review, and analysis of Ship Change Documents (SCDs) related to Combat Systems installations, modifications, and upgrades.
- Maintain a centralized repository for SCDs, ensuring accuracy, version control, and proper tracking of changes, while enhancing current processes provided by systems like NDE.
- Facilitate cross-organizational communication to ensure all stakeholders are aligned in their contributions to Combat Systems readiness.
- Liaise with PARMs, SYSCOMs, PSNS, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate submission of SCDs.
- Provide oversight and validation of SCDs to ensure compliance with Combat Systems standards and modernization goals.
- Develop comprehensive reports and presentations summarizing SCD progress, issues, and recommendations for COMNAVAIRPAC N43.
- Recommend process improvements for SCD tracking, integration, and reporting to enhance Combat Systems readiness.
- Ensure alignment of SCD efforts with broader Combat Systems readiness and modernization initiatives.
- Provide support for COMNAVAIRPAC N43F, N43FA, and N43F3 roles as defined in the CNAL SORM to ensure proper alignment with established responsibilities.

Qualifications Specialized Experience:Applicants must demonstrate specialized experience in:
- Coordinating or managing Ship Change Documents (SCDs) or equivalent modernization documentation.
- Ensuring proper integration, review, and analysis of SCDs across multiple stakeholders.
- Identifying and resolving inconsistencies in SCD tracking and reporting.
- Facilitating communication and coordination among relevant stakeholders (e.g., PARMs, SYSCOMs, PSNS).
Education Requirements:Desired: A bachelor's degree in systems management, Engineering, Naval Architecture, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications (Highly Preferred)- Experience with Combat Systems architecture, configuration management, and modernization efforts.
- Familiarity with Shipyard work, including availability planning, execution, and post-availability reporting.
