Full Job Description
ASRC Federal Advanced Research is currently seeking an Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) Technician to support autonomy vehicle integrations in Sterling Heights, Michigan. Considering the state of the world today, military technical innovation is critical to defending our territories and those of our allies. The US Army is currently exploring advancements to equip ground combat forces with autonomous vehicle platforms. This effort presents a unique opportunity for civilians to participate in the research and development efforts that will shape future battlefield combat platforms.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Lead development, review, validation, and delivery of Technical Data Packages (TDPs) supporting prototype and LRIP vehicle programs.
  • Coordinate the creation and maintenance of technical manuals, operator manuals, maintenance manuals, troubleshooting guides, and sustainment documentation.
  • Ensure technical publications accurately reflect approved vehicle configurations and engineering baselines.
  • Collaborate with engineering and configuration management personnel to maintain technical data accuracy and configuration traceability.
  • Manage logistics data repositories and document libraries utilizing SharePoint and related content management systems.
  • Coordinate updates to technical documentation resulting from engineering changes, software updates, and vehicle modifications.
  • Support development of provisioning documentation, illustrated parts breakdowns, repair parts lists, and maintenance support products.
  • Establish maintenance concepts and support planning for organizational, field, and depot-level maintenance activities.
  • Develop recommendations to improve system reliability and reduce maintenance burden.
  • Assist engineering teams in evaluating corrective actions for recurring maintenance and supportability issues.
  • Participate in failure reporting, analysis, and corrective action activities.
  • Knowledge of Department of Defense Integrated Product Support (IPS) Elements and sustainment planning methodologies.
  • Experience supporting prototype development, LRIP, and production transition activities.
  • Understanding of configuration management principles and engineering change processes.
  • Strong collaboration skills with engineering, manufacturing, software, logistics, and customer organizations.
  • Ability to translate complex technical information into effective logistics and sustainment products.

Required Qualifications
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Government Secret Clearance.
  • Willingness to travel CONUS or OCONUS 25% annually.
  • Requires Bachelor's degree or equivalent, and eight years of related experience in a technical environment.
