Mortenson is currently seeking an experienced
Integrated Construction Coordinator II to join our Civil Group to implement and oversee Virtual Design and Construction processes throughout phases of a project. Strong communication skills are necessary as you will be interacting with staff at all levels in an ever-changing environment. Your ability to remain flexible, inventive, dedicated, and efficient with a high level of integrity and confidentiality is vital to your success in this role.
In addition to supporting general Civil VDC, we are looking for a specialization in utility modeling & coordination to support civil and utility construction teams by developing and maintaining coordinated utility models, facilitating clash detection and constructability reviews, and providing digital deliverables that improve field execution. This role works closely with operations, survey, engineering, and project teams to identify conflicts early, optimize installation sequencing, and support GPS and machine-control workflows. The position helps de-risk construction by ensuring utility systems are accurately modeled, coordinated, and communicated before field installation begins.
What will you be doing?- Plan, implement, and oversee VDC processes through appropriate technology platforms
- Utility Modeling: develop and maintain 3D utility models from Autodesk Civil 3D, Revit, ArcGIS, survey, and engineering design data.
- Coordination and Clash Detection: perform clash detection and conflict-resolution reviews between utility systems and other site infrastructure utilizing Revizto.
- Provide utility layout information, invert data, rim elevations, and critical installation points for Survey.
- Assist with as-built verification and documentation processes.
- Use Autodesk Civil 3D to design optimized road and site grading models, alignments, profiles, corridors, grading groups, etc.
- Working with survey data; communicating with project field teams through Trimble Business Center software to deliver designs to survey equipment.
- May include, Mortenson BIM/VDC uses existing conditions modeling, cost estimation, phase planning (4D), site analysis, design reviews, 3D visualization, 3D coordination, site utilization planning, construction system design, digital fabrication, 3D control planning and record modeling.
- Provide point of contact for construction team members on VDC processes and reports during all phases of construction
- Document work process as it relates to improving and/or changing current company process standards
- Assist in training on VDC processes
- All integrated construction team members should be active participants in Mortenson's IDAT (Integrated Delivery Advancement Team) community of practice- sharing knowledge

Requirements:
- Associates or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Construction Management, Civil Engineering Technology, or equivalent field
- Proficiency with Autodesk AutoCAD Civil 3D, Autodesk Revit, Revizto, Trimble Business Center, and/or ESRI's ArcGIS software
- 4+ years related experience
- Survey data knowledge and/or experience is preferred
- GIS data management is a plus
- Completion of intermediate level BIM/VDC software training
- Detail orientation sufficient to organize and handle multiple project tasks at a time
- Possess basic understanding of construction law and generally accepted business practices
- Microsoft Office, project, and pertinent web application skills at an intermediate level
- Positive and professional attitude, and strong customer service skills
- Ability to interpret and communicate Mortenson policies effectively
- Strong communication, teamwork orientation, initiative, problem-solving, and leadership skills
- Open to change based on diverse input and feedback
- Current driver's license

The base pay range for this role is $89,500 MIN - $120,800 MAX. (Actual range is higher for the following office locations: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL - 5%, Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR - 10%, Washington, D.C. - 12.5%).
Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual's knowledge, skills, and experience, with consideration given to internal equity. This position is eligible for Mortenson's incentive plan.
