Full Job Description
Under moderate supervision, designs and deploys industrial IoT solutions that connect physical assets to enterprise data platforms across Freeport-McMoRan sites. Serves as the technical lead on advanced field engineering projects, owning solution design within established architectural patterns and directing the execution of work. Designs and implements streaming analytics, video analytics, and real-time dashboards that turn deployed telemetry into operational insight. Contributes architectural roadmap input based on field implementation experience - Lead advanced IoT field engineering projects, owning end-to-end solution design within established architectural patterns, gathering requirements, directing execution, and ensuring successful handoff. - Design and implement streaming analytics and real-time dashboards, building data transformations, configuring analytics rules, and enabling operational decision-making. - Configure and program field devices and ingestion components while building reusable patterns that standardize and scale deployments. - Provide architecture input, participate in design reviews, propose standards improvements, and mentor junior engineers. - Perform advanced root cause analysis for complex issues while maintaining stakeholder communication and documentation Master's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a mining-related Engineering discipline and one (1) year of experience in an Engineering, System Administration or Technology Support role, including an intermediate understanding of IoT infrastructure, and cloud data concepts and usage. OR Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or a mining-related Engineering discipline and three (3) years of progressive experience with IoT solutions development, implementation, and integration projects, including an intermediate understanding of IoT infrastructure, and cloud data concepts and usage. OR High School diploma or GED and seven (7) years of experience in IoT technology, software, infrastructure, or computer systems maintenance and application support, including demonstrated hands-on experience with low-voltage field devices including cameras, sensors or data loggers, and associated field wiring and communications infrastructure. - Must be customer service-oriented and possess good organizational and interpersonal skills. - Skill in effective communication, both verbal and written. - Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical site stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications What We Offer You The estimated annual pay range for this role is currently $85,700-$120,000. This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors.
