Full Job Description
This role will be primarily focused on the Building Automation System and automated facility supporting various utilities fed to our production environment. The person in this role will act as a system expert for our SCADA system programming and operation, PLC programming and troubleshooting, and OT Network administration. Additionally, this individual will monitor facilities processes in order to continuously improve systems

Responsibilities:
  • Program, configure, and maintain automation hardware and software, including Allen-Bradley PLCs, VFDs, SCADA (FactoryTalk or Ignition) displays and hardware, reporting, and remote alarm notification software applications.
  • Data monitoring and analysis for process improvements and issue resolution for applicable departments
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to understand processes, project objectives, critical success factors, and to develop corresponding automation solutions.
  • Author, review, and approve change controls, deviation investigations, standard operating procedures (SOPs), drawings, schematics, work orders, etc.
  • Develop and maintain detailed documentation of our hardware and software solutions, including specifications, guides, and standard operating procedures.
  • Prepare design documentation (specifications and drawing details) and basis of design reports to support the construction of new and improved process control systems.
  • Read and update wiring diagrams, schematics, and P&IDs.
  • On call after hours and weekend support to the Facilities/Manufacturing to ensure continuous production
  • Ensure adherence to ISO requirements by supporting the quality system through maintenance of an active working knowledge of processes, setting an example by following requirements, and participating in continuous process improvements and internal audits.
  • Troubleshoot and monitor OT network for communication related issues and potential security risks
  • Participate in system testing, operations, debugging, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis to create resilient, reliable, and high-functioning control systems.
  • Leading equipment and process troubleshooting efforts, Root Cause Analysis, and deviation, as applicable
  • Interacting regularly with Manufacturing, Maintenance, Process Engineers, Plant Engineering, Validation and Quality and other functions, as needed
  • Provide technical support and training to end-users to ensure system reliability, optimization, and ease of use.
  • Project Management responsibilities include leading multi-disciplined, cross-functional team(s) to deliver stated project objectives within cost, time, and quality constraints.


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related field
  • PLC programming in Allen-Bradley ControlLogix and CompactLogix platforms. Siemens PLC programming experience.
  • HMI/SCADA programming in Ignition, FactoryTalk View SE/ME
  • Temperature / pressure / level / conductivity / PH / vibration instrumentation, sensors, and other field I/O devices
  • Ability to interpret documents such as technical manuals, functional specifications, electrical schematics and operational manuals.
  • Ability to independently troubleshoot equipment.
  • Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with project team members and clients
  • Critical thinking with exceptional problem-solving skills, able to work independently and in team environments.
  • Computer skills, MS Excel, and MS Word
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD/BIM is a plus.


The posted salary range is what Wolfspeed reasonably expects to pay for this position. Actual pay for a hired applicant will be determined based on the individual's job-relevant qualifications, experience, and other determinative factors. In the event it is determined that a different job level upon hire is warranted then that range will be communicated to the hired applicant as soon as reasonably practicable.

Compensation Range:

$93,000.00 - $128,000.00
