Position SummaryThe Recreation Therapist assesses, plans, develops, implements, and modifies therapeutic recreation services as referred by a physician to help reduce depression, stress, and anxiety; recover basic physical and mental abilities; build confidence; and socialize effectively. You will evaluate and treat patients in leisure skills, community skills, and recreational skills. You will provide written documentation of all services rendered and participate as a member of the multidisciplinary rehabilitation team.
Responsibilities- Evaluates patients and develops treatment plan when necessary
- Provides therapy to inpatients and outpatients
- Provides resources to patients and their significant others to assist patients with building leisure and recreation skills
- Provides timely and accurate documentation for all services delivered
Requirements- Bachelor's Degree in Therapeutic Recreation
- Certification as a Recreational Therapist (CTRS) is required
- Previous experience working with adults with physical and cognitive disabilities
- Experience with current therapeutic procedures and evaluation techniques in therapeutic recreation
- BLS Certification
- Current Washington State Driver's License: proof of a safe driving record (which meets established MHS Standards) obtained by a motor vehicle report from the appropriate state

Pay and Benefit ExpectationsWe provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $72,384.00 - $104,208.00 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant's years of experience align.
