THE WORK:
• (Internal Title: Construction Management V)
• The Construction Director (CD) will work collaboratively with Project Directors and maintain construction oversight of projects in development and live construction across the GTA.
• The Construction Director will drive a culture of health, safety and wellbeing excellence and lead transformation of best-practice construction delivery. They will be required to proactively engage with Delivery Directors and Vice Presidents to review work plans, and work with the teams to develop resolutions that are best for program. Further tasks include
• Providing strategic leadership and technical construction leadership across a multi-billion-dollar rail portfolio.
• Ensuring that the construction-aspects of the program are technically sound, evidence-based, and consistent with client and stakeholders' priorities, requirements and expectations
• Providing oversight of all activities, outputs, and outcomes related to construction management and administration.
• Provides a broad range of high quality and reliable construction expertise in a proactive manner, through advice, direction, and direct leadership with the project teams on the management of issues and considerations that are likely to influence definition and achievement of the program scope and objectives.
• Organizes, directs and manages field representation at all major work sites and remote production facilities.
• Identifying any opportunities to help develop the Project Delivery Teams's delivery experience, through coaching and mentoring of the on-site teams.
• Helping to develop the Constructors & PDT's approach to proactive Health and Safety.
• Manages creation of a secure online daily field logs including photo documentation addressing daily progress, significant events and milestones, safety.
• Supports the development of mitigation and/or incentives to reduce risks associated with the utility and construction interfaces.
• Supports and develop the safety culture of the team and ensure core values are met.

HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
• Experience:
• Experienced (15+ years) Construction Director in the rail sector i.e., Stations, Track, Bridges, Overhead Catenary Systems, Signalling and Communications.
• Experience leading large, multi-disciplinary teams.
• Detailed understanding of construction methodology, innovative methods of delivery, technology, planning, delivery, site logistics.
• Commercial and detailed understanding of construction contract law and an understanding of multiple contract types.
• Good oral, written communication, and presentation skills
• Stays up to date with key industry/professional trends through networking and Continued Professional Development (CPD) and ability to update colleagues & clients on industry trends.
• Proficient in office technology, software, and applications.
• Well-developed decision-making skills
• The individual will take ownership to identify, solve and overcome challenges, whilst keeping other abreast of developments
• This individual is expected to deliver results, striving to exceeds the clients' expectations.
• Education:
• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Engineering or Construction Management field
• Licenses OR Certifications:
• Holding recognized certification in the applicable area of specialty
• Skills and Competencies:
• Significant experience leading and providing direction to Construction & Project Delivery teams on high-profile and high value projects.
• The ability to lead, engage, motivate, and coach others.
• Leading negotiations with third parties
• Create and deliver persuasive and engaging presentations to wide range of audiences in our industry.
• Lead and strategize collaboration models, both internally and externally.
• Manage client relationships effectively.
• Respectfully listen to others and considers all views presented.
• Puts team success above own interests.
Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, Accenture provides a reasonable range of compensation, based on full-time employment, for roles that may be hired as set forth below.

The base pay range shown below is intended as a guideline to reflect the majority of offers for this role. It does not represent a maximum limit - in some cases, actual compensation may exceed the range where appropriate.
