Description

The Red Gate Group is seeking an Information Operations (IO) Policy & Strategy Analyst to support the Office of Information Operations Policy (OIOP), Strategy and International Partnerships Directorate, providing analytical and programmatic support across information operations policy, international engagement, and emerging technology integration.

This position contributes to advancing Department of War (DoW) IO priorities by supporting the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) and large language models (LLMs) into policy and analytical workflows, assisting with statutory oversight activities, and coordinating with Joint, interagency, and international partners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the integration of AI/LLMs into IO policy, strategy, and analytical work products.
  • Assist with statutory oversight of IO-related technologies, including research and coordination with industry partners.
  • Provide program support to the Foreign IO Training and Awareness Program, including planning, logistics, and tracking of activities.
  • Support planning and execution of bilateral and multilateral IO engagements with allies and partners.
  • Conduct research, analysis, and drafting to support IO policy development and strategy implementation.
  • Coordinate with Joint Staff, Military Services, Combatant Commands (CCMDs), and interagency partners to support alignment of IO efforts.
  • Respond to and track data calls supporting assessments of CCMD IO effectiveness.
  • Assist in the development of congressional reports, notifications, and quarterly updates.
  • Provide planning and coordination support for annual IO conferences.
  • Assist in the development and execution of IO tabletop exercises (TTXs) and wargames.

Required Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience in national security, defense policy, Information Operations (IO), or a related field within the DoD, Intelligence Community, or supporting contractor environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in International Relations, National Security Studies, Political Science, Communications, Cyber/Information-related field, or a related discipline.
  • Foundational understanding of Information Operations, strategic communications, cyber, or influence operations concepts.
  • Experience conducting research, analysis, and professional writing for reports, briefings, or policy-related products.
  • Familiarity with DoD organizations and coordination processes (e.g., Joint Staff, Services, CCMDs, interagency).
  • Ability to support programmatic or project management activities, including tracking tasks, coordinating stakeholders, and meeting deadlines.
  • Exposure to or basic familiarity with AI/ML or LLM tools and their application in research or analysis.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to support senior-level deliverables.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with multiple stakeholders.
  • Top Secret/SCI clearance required

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting DoD headquarters-level organizations (e.g., OSD, Joint Staff, CCMD).
  • Exposure to policy development, strategy documents, or implementation planning.
  • Familiarity with statutory reporting or congressional support activities.
  • Experience supporting international engagements or security cooperation efforts.
  • Exposure to exercise support, tabletop exercises (TTXs), or wargaming.
  • Interest or experience in emerging technologies and their policy implications.

Work Environment
  • On-site support in the National Capital Region (NCR) with engagement across DoD and interagency stakeholders
  • Occasional travel in support of engagements, exercises, and conferences
