What You'll Do:

  • Manage day-to-day shop operations for the repair and assembly of centrifugal pumps, positive displacement pumps, electric motors, and related rotating equipment.
  • Meet or exceed Monthly, quarterly, and annual Repair department Revenue, Profit, and Safety targets.
  • Develop and maintain production schedules to meet customer delivery expectations.
  • Monitor workflow, capacity planning, and labor utilization.
  • Ensure jobs move efficiently from teardown through inspection, machining, rebuild, testing, and final QC.
  • Identify bottlenecks and implement corrective actions.
  • Supervise shop foremen, lead technicians, and production staff
  • Conduct performance evaluations and coaching.
  • Enforce accountability, productivity, and workmanship standards.
  • Manage labor efficiency and productivity metrics.
  • Monitor shop costs including overtime, materials, and rework.
  • Assist in budgeting and forecasting for manpower and equipment needs.
  • Support margin improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment, complying with company and industry safety regulations.


What You'll Need:

  • Strong interest in and ability to build and maintain Teams and Team Work.
  • 5+ years of experience in pump, motor, or rotating equipment repair environment.
  • 3+ years of supervisory or production leadership experience.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical repair processes, motor rewinds, machining, and testing.
  • Familiarity with equipment BOMs, prints, SWIs and SOPs.
  • Willingness to enforce shop safety standards and follow OSHA regulations.
  • Strong organizational skills using MS Office, Adobe, and PowerPoint software.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and production tracking software.
  • Prolonged standing and working in a shop environment.
  • Exposure to noise, grease, and industrial conditions.
