Full Job Description
Location: Dayton, NJ
Schedule: 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM (2-2-3 rotating schedule) or 6:30 PM- 7:00 AM (2-2-3 rotating schedule)
Pay: $37-$40per hour (starting rate to commensurate with experience)

Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Industrial Electrician to support our plant operations. This role is responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting electrical systems, instrumentation, and controls across high-speed bottling and packaging equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot 480VAC to 24VDC electrical systems and motor control centers
  • Troubleshoot and repair process and packaging equipment (fillers, conveyors, packers, palletizers, etc.)
  • Work with PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, and servo drives to maintain electronic control systems
  • Calibrate, inspect, and troubleshoot flow, pressure, level, and temperature instrumentation
  • Lead and train other E&I technicians as needed
  • Create worker orders in our maintenance system
  • Troubleshoot, photo eyes and proximity sensors
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience as an industrial electrician
  • 1-2 years in a high-speed production environment (food/beverage or bottling preferred)
  • Formal E&I training from vocational school, military, or certification program preferred
  • Understanding of 480VAC power distribution systems and NEC code
  • Skilled in using electrical tools (megger, amp/volt meters, conduit benders, etc.)
  • Solid troubleshooting skills across electrical, mechanical, and instrumentation systems
  • Experience with PLCs and industrial controls (Allen-Bradley, ControlLogix, SLC-500, DeviceNet, Ethernet/IP) (preferred)
  • Familiarity with VFDs and servo systems (PowerFlex, SEW, Pacific Scientific, Rockwell)
  • Knowledge of vision systems and online coding/printing systems a plus

Physical Requirements:

The role requires the ability to:
  • Stand on hard surfaces such as concrete for extended periods, up to 12 hours per shift
  • Lift and carry materials weighing up to 60 pounds
  • Climb stairs, ladders, platforms, and other structures on equipment or buildings to inspect, operate, maintain, or troubleshoot
  • Bend at the knees, twist the back, and kneel as needed to access equipment for operation, maintenance, or troubleshooting
  • Work indoors and outdoors in varying seasonal temperatures and humidity levels
  • Function effectively in areas of high noise while using proper personal protective equipment (PPE)
