Industrial ElectricianBurlington, OntarioPosition Overview:The Industrial Electrician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems and equipment throughout the manufacturing facility. This full-time, permanent position plays a key role in ensuring equipment reliability, safe operations, and continuous improvement in a highly automated industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform electrical maintenance and repairs on industrial machinery, control systems, and equipment
- Troubleshoot electrical issues to minimize equipment downtime
- Install, modify, and upgrade electrical systems as required
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on electrical systems
- Ensure compliance with all applicable Ontario electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards
- Maintain accurate records of work performed
- Collaborate with maintenance and operations teams to support efficient plant operations
Education & Certification:- Valid Industrial Electrician License (442A preferred)
Experience:- Previous experience working in an automated industrial manufacturing environment
- Experience with Siemens Step 7 PLC systems considered an asset
Skills:- Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems, machinery, and safety protocols
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
- Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks
Compensation:- Hourly rate: $41.56 per hour
