Key Responsibilities

Sales & Revenue Leadership
• Own growth strategy and execution for the Middle Market merchant portfolio, delivering against revenue, pipeline, and conversion targets.
• Lead enterprise and complex deal execution, including RFPs, executive client engagements, and multi-product solutions.
• Drive disciplined sales management through pipeline reviews, Salesforce, deal strategy sessions, and forecasting rigor.

People Leadership
• Lead, coach, and develop a team of Merchant Payment Executives aligned to the Middle Market vertical.
• Set clear performance expectations, drive accountability, and build strong succession and talent pipelines
• Foster a high-performance, inclusive sales culture focused on collaboration and continuous improvement.

Industry & Client Strategy
• Serve as a subject-matter leader for the Middle Market vertical, translating industry trends into actionable sales strategies.
• Partner with senior level Product, Pricing, and Technical Sales to shape industry-relevant solutions and positioning.
• Strengthen client relationships through executive-level engagement and strategic account planning.

Cross Functional Collaboration
• Partner with Relationship Management, Treasury, FX, and Capital Markets teams to deliver integrated client solutions.
• Drive pipeline growth and revenue generation by proactively partnering with Middle Market Regional Sales Managers (RSM) to identify, qualify, and advance high-value joint opportunities.
• Work closely with Merchant Technical Sales, PMI, and implementation teams to improve win rates and execution quality.
• Provide feedback into product commercialization, roadmap priorities, and go to market execution.

Qualifications

Required Skills
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of sales leadership experience within payments, financial services, or enterprise B2B solutions.
• Expertise in developing a Middle Market vertical from inception through maturation, including market positioning, sales strategy, and client expansion.
• Extensive background in merchant acquiring, payments, or adjacent fintech solutions.
• Proven success leading enterprise sales teams and closing complex, multi-stakeholder deals.
• Strong financial acumen with experience managing revenue, forecasts, and performance metrics.

Preferred Skills
• Executive presence with the ability to engage C suite and senior client stakeholders.
• Experience operating in a matrixed, highly collaborative organization.
• Influence enterprise strategy, product direction, and commercialization execution.
• Build and scale a high-impact sales organization aligned to complex client needs.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $169,380.00 - 207,020.00
