Full Job Description
Torch Technologies is seeking a I&Q Signal Injection Specialist who has knowledge in In-phase and quadrature (I&Q), signal injection into a simulated RF sensor, configuration management focus, test driven development, and real time development. Candidate will work with a team to maintain current versions of the software and build new capabilities. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills both oral and written; exhibit the ability to adapt and thrive in a dynamic, customer focused work environment.

Roles and responsibilities:
  • Analyzing OEM's sensor capabilities and designing solutions for signal injection .
  • Perform detailed analysis of RF models and algorithms and integrated system performance.
  • Building MATLAB or other mathematical models to prove signal injection.
  • Write white papers that prove out the signal injection method per sensor.
  • Work closely with the development team to implement and test real time signal injection into the live and simulated sensors.

Required Qualifications:
  • US Citizenship.
  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 8+ years of experience with sensors.
  • Experience analyzing and modeling signal processing algorithms.
  • Real-time simulation experience.
  • Strong experience in signals and systems.
  • Experience in modeling advanced threat techniques.
  • Strong presentation skills to explain capabilities to customers.
  • Experience with reading OEM charts and technical documents.
  • Ability to communicate clearly within a team structure.
  • MATLAB, C++, and Python.
  • No telework options available.
  • Some travel may be required.
  • Must have a current Active Secret Clearance.


Desired skills:
  • Parallel programming.
  • Exposure to GPU programming concepts.
  • Direct experience with the THAAD (AN/TPY2) weapon system.
  • Model Based Systems Engineering knowledge.
  • Configuration Management knowledge.
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic environment where multiple roles may need to be fulfilled.
