Hatch is currently seeking a highly motivated Water Resources Engineer to join our Hydropower and Dams group.

As the successful candidate, you will:

  • Manage projects concentrated in the water resources, flood control and hydropower sectors with opportunities to participate in the infrastructure and mining/industrial sectors.
  • Prepare detailed technical reports, drawings, specifications, and correspondence.
  • Develop business, writing proposals, and presenting to clients.
  • Undertake technical reviews of documents and technical drawings prepared by the team
  • Complete Hydraulic and hydrologic modelling and analysis (using HEC and MIKE tools) as well as using GIS tools for analysis and presentation of concepts


You bring to the role:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related engineering discipline with 5+ years of relevant professional experience; or
  • Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related engineering discipline with 3+ years of relevant professional experience; or
  • PhD in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related engineering discipline with 2+ years of relevant professional experience.
  • Registered, or eligible to be registered, and licensed to practice as a Professional Engineer
  • Demonstrated expertise in the Water Resources, Flood Control, Flood Protection and/or Hydropower sectors
  • Team focused with excellent interpersonal skills and understanding of multidisciplinary projects.
  • Effective time management skills.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communications skills.
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to travel within USA and Internationally on short term assignments as required.


Salary: $100,000 - $120,000
