Role Overview
We are seeking an HR Manager to lead the day-to-day human resources function for our Paramount Prints Warehouse. The Human Resources Manager partners with site leadership and the corporate HR department to build an employee-oriented, high-performance culture grounded in empowerment, quality, productivity, and accountability. This person advises managers on people decisions, manages employee relations, manages workplace risk, ensures compliance with employment law, and drives programs that attract, develop, and retain a superior workforce.
Key Responsibilities
Employee Relations
Serves as the site's lead for employee relations, owning the full lifecycle of employee concerns from intake through resolution.
Conducts prompt, thorough, and impartial workplace investigations into employee complaints, documents findings, and recommends appropriate outcomes.
Advises and coaches managers on performance management, corrective action, performance improvement plans, and terminations to ensure decisions are fair, consistent, and well documented.
Manages escalated and sensitive cases, partnering with legal counsel and HR leadership as needed to mitigate organizational risk.
Interprets and applies company policies consistently across the workforce; recommends policy updates and contributes to the employee handbook.
Tracks and analyzes employee relations trends (complaints, turnover, attendance, exit interview themes) and presents insights and recommendations to leadership.
Designs and delivers proactive programs that strengthen engagement and prevent issues, such as manager training, stay interviews, and employee feedback initiatives.
Leads conflict resolution and mediation between employees and with management.
Maintains confidential, legally defensible case files and investigation records.
Talent Acquisition and Onboarding
Owns full-cycle recruitment for site positions, partnering with hiring managers to define role requirements, sourcing strategies, and selection criteria.
Oversees the onboarding experience for new employees, ensuring a consistent, engaging introduction to the company and its culture.
HR Operations and Programs
Oversees administration of HR programs at the site, including benefits, leaves of absence, attendance, and accommodations.
Ensures accuracy and integrity of HRIS records, personnel files, timekeeping, and PTO in partnership with payroll.
Leads internal HR communications, including the site newsletter, and shapes the team's broader communication strategy.
Plans and oversees employee engagement events and meetings.
Compliance and Safety
Ensures site compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, including Title VII, the ADA, FMLA, and FLSA.
Partners with operations leadership on workplace safety programs and related HR policies.
Prepares for and supports audits, agency inquiries, and charges as required.
Leadership
Serves as a trusted advisor to site leadership on people strategy, organizational needs, and workforce planning.
Champions a culture of continuous improvement in HR processes and practices.
Qualifications
Required
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
