Full Job Description
We are currently seeking a candidate for the Human Generalist role in our Marysville, CA facility. Please note that this is a fully onsite position and candidates must reside within a commutable distance of our Marysville, CA facility.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The following is intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed. It is not an exhaustive list of all expectations:
  • Uses HR professional concepts, company policies and procedures to solve a wide range of difficult problems to ensure company compliance with applicable federal and state laws
  • Provide day-to-day HR guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions) on employee relations issues (investigations, involuntary terminations, and performance improvement plans)
  • Partner with Supervisors/Managers on the performance review process to identify skills gaps and training needs, developing guidance on goal setting while also effectively writing performance reviews
  • Works closely with AWF Office Managers to improve work relationships, increase employee engagement, morale, change management, and increase productivity and retention
  • Develop and implement comprehensive New Hire Orientation and Onboarding program strategies; facilitate training Office Managers and Leadership on these initiatives
  • Provide detailed analysis to the VP of Human Resources via exit interviews & stay interviews to analyze findings, and make recommendations to reduce turnover
  • Recommends solutions to complex issues based on common market practices and careful SWOT (strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, threats) analysis
  • Identify new areas of necessary involvement for human resources in business practices and recommends strategic internal partnerships
  • Facilitate benefits open enrollment annually; requires onsite visits to multiple locations across the US to communicate and deliver new benefits options.
  • Manage unemployment and workers comp claims to include attendance at hearings, when applicable.
  • Lead facilitator for California specific AWF Leave of Absences to include partnership with local Office Managers; administration of all applicable leave paperwork, follow up on current LOA absences, monitoring compliance with return to work protocols, etc.
  • Reporting and metrics responsibility (including, but not limited to turnover, absenteeism, time to hire, cost per hire, service anniversary reports, benefits utilization and other ad hoc reports as needed)
  • High level of tactical skills and the ability to work across all levels of the organization in a matrixed, team environment


QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelors' Degree in HR, Business, or other related area, plus 5-7 years' experience in HR (or equivalent in experience and other education) in a Manufacturing environment. A minimum of three years of the HR experience must be in an HR Generalist/HRBP capacity.
  • SHRM-CP or PHR certification for CALIFORNIA required
  • Progressive experience in Human Resources policies and programs to include:
    • Talent management experience
    • Knowledge and understanding of employment/labor laws
    • Knowledge and understanding of employment policies and practices
    • Experience with compensation strategy and administration
  • Proficient in MS Office and HRIS systems (ADP Workforce Now experience required)
  • Accurate data entry skills and ability to keep matters highly confidential
  • Excellent consultation and execution skills
  • Detail oriented and able to handle multiple priorities
  • Ability to travel between two (2) California facilities up to 2x monthly

COMPENSATION
$80,000 - $95,000 annually
