Full Job Description
What you'll do day-to-day

  • Expand HC Analytics' automated analytics portfolio by developing novel reporting solutions, primarily using Python.
  • Develop dashboards for the firm's senior leadership and build other reporting products from the ground up, contributing to the ETL pipelines and infrastructure initiatives.
  • Maintain and update Python packages that underpin the team's reporting and analytics capabilities, ensuring codebases remain robust and well-documented.
  • Help troubleshoot technical issues, contribute to process improvements, and support the ongoing evolution of the team's reporting infrastructure.
  • Use Git and GitHub to manage code repositories, track changes, and facilitate collaborative development and code review processes.
  • Conduct ad hoc analyses to address operational and strategic questions, collaborating closely with colleagues across Human Capital and related teams.


What we're looking for

  • A bachelor's degree or higher in a technical, quantitative, or related field, along with one to three years of experience working with Python for code maintenance, SQL, and GraphQL for data querying and transformation.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage operational tasks, troubleshoot technical issues, deliver high-quality analyses in a fast-paced environment, and handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Interest in generative AI and a desire to use it to improve and reimagine tools, workflows, and deliverables.
  • Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a collaborative approach to problem solving.
  • Experience using Git and GitHub for version control, code collaboration, and code review processes.
  • Motivation to learn, adaptability to shifting priorities, and an interest in pursuing more advanced analytics and data science projects overtime.
  • The expected annual base salary for this position is $135,000 to $160,000. Our compensation and benefits package includes variable compensation in the form of a year-end bonus, guaranteed in the first year of hire, and benefits including medical and prescription drug coverage, 401(k) contribution matching, wellness reimbursement, family building benefits, and a charitable gift match program.
