Responsibilities

TikTok is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented HR Operations Specialist to support core Americas HR Operations processes across the employee lifecycle. The role will focus on high-volume operational workflows including offboarding, transfers/job changes, employee data changes, compliance-driven lifecycle actions, and other key HR operational processes. This person will manage process execution, improve handoffs across teams, and use AI capabilities to identify inefficiencies, strengthen controls, and drive automation. This is a full-time role that is located in the San Jose office. Responsibilities 1. Core HR Operations Process Ownership: Own and manage high-volume Americas HR operational workflows across the employee lifecycle, including offboarding, transfers/job changes, employee data changes, and compliance-driven lifecycle actions, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and strong employee/stakeholder experience; 2. AI-Driven Process Discovery & Optimization: Leverage AI tools and data analytics to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities across HR operations workflows; design and implement AI-powered solutions to streamline repetitive tasks, strengthen controls, and improve operational efficiency; 3. Stakeholder Partnership: Collaborate with HRBPs, Legal, IT, Payroll, Benefits, HRIS, and other cross-functional teams to ensure smooth execution of offboarding, transfers/job changes, and other HR operations cases; resolve escalations and deliver practical operational solutions; 4. Process & Procedures: Recommend, design, and document HR operations processes and procedures for offboarding, transfers/job changes, employee data changes, and related lifecycle workflows; maintain up-to-date SOPs and ensure they remain compliant with regional requirements; 5. Automation & Tool Development: Partner with HRIS and engineering teams to build and refine automated workflows for offboarding, job changes, data updates, and other HR operations transactions, reducing manual effort and improving data accuracy through AI-assisted validation and intelligent routing; 6. Data Analysis & Reporting: Monitor HR operations metrics across key workflows, such as case volume, cycle time, error rate, SLA adherence, compliance completion, and rework trends; generate insights using AI/analytics tools and present recommendations to leadership for continuous improvement; 7. Project Management: Lead and deliver projects to standardize HR Operations practices, roll out new tools and automations, and set up trainings for stakeholders across the Americas region.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications 1. Advantageous to have 3+ years of HR operations experience, with strong hands-on experience supporting employee lifecycle processes such as offboarding/separations, transfers/job changes, employee data changes, HRIS transactions, and/or related HR operational workflows (Workday experience preferred); 2. Demonstrated experience using AI tools (e.g., workflow automation platforms, AI-based analytics, RPA, or LLM-powered tools) to improve HR processes or operational efficiency; 3. Strong knowledge of Americas employment regulations and compliance requirements that affect HR operations workflows, including offboarding, final pay, benefits continuation, job/status changes, and employee data accuracy; 4. Exceptional detail orientation, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment; 5. Excellent written and spoken communication skills, with the ability to write policy documentation, draft internal communications, and articulate complex issues and proposed solutions; 6. BA/BS degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Preferred Qualifications 1. Experience with AI/ML concepts and practical application in HR operations (e.g., predictive analytics for attrition, intelligent process mining, chatbot development); 2. Proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel advanced functions, SQL, Python, or BI tools) to extract insights and measure process improvements; 3. Experience at a high-volume global technology company with complex, multi-entity HR operations requirements across offboarding, transfers/job changes, employee data changes, and HRIS administration; 4. Familiarity with process mining tools (e.g., Celonis, UiPath), case management tools, or workflow automation platforms; 5. Strong stakeholder management skills with proven ability to influence cross-functional teams.

[For Pay Transparency]Compensation Description (Annually)

The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $76000 - $168000 annually.

Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.

Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location. Employees have day one access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with company match, paid parental leave, short-term and long-term disability coverage, life insurance, wellbeing benefits, among others. Employees also receive 10 paid holidays per year, 10 paid sick days per year and 17 days of Paid Personal Time (prorated upon hire with increasing accruals by tenure).
