Job Description:

We're looking for an innovative, proactive HR Manager who thrives in a fast-paced, Multifamily Property Management company. As a trusted business partner, you will support managers and the leadership team by providing guidance on employee relations, performance management, talent development, leadership coaching, compliance, and organizational effectiveness. This role is more than traditional HR - it requires strategic thinking, strong business acumen, and a passion for driving continuous improvement.

We're looking for someone has a proven track record of successfully managing day-to-day HR operations while also identifying opportunities for improvement, leading meaningful initiatives, and delivering measurable business results.
  • Manage the day-to-day HR operations, including employee relations, benefits administration, workers' compensation, performance reviews, and policy interpretation.
  • Conduct and oversee workplace investigations and provide practical, business-focused solutions that minimize organizational risk.
  • Serve as the Tier 2 escalation for complex employee relations matters.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of 2-3 HR professionals, providing guidance, support, and accountability.
  • Coach leaders through employee relations, performance management, organizational change, talent development, and succession planning.
  • Lead and implement HR initiatives that produce measurable improvements in leadership effectiveness, operational efficiency, or other key business outcomes.
  • Analyze workforce trends and HR metrics to identify opportunities and recommend proactive solutions.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify, improve, and modernize HR processes, challenging the status quo and implementing solutions that create meaningful business value.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies, and stay current on changing employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Leverage HR technology, including AI tools, to improve efficiency, reporting, decision-making, and service delivery.

  • Has managed a small team of HR professionals.
  • Has worked in a Multifamily Property Management, Hospitality or Retail industry.
  • Is comfortable navigating ambiguity and making sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Is a self-starter who takes ownership, works independently, and thrives with minimal supervision.
  • Has strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Has strong business acumen with excellent coaching, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Is proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel. Advanced level skills.
  • Is an experienced user of Workday HCM
