OverviewLivingston Place at Southern Ave., Assisted Living, a Calvary Street Management Assisted Living Residence (ALR) located in Washington, DC, is a LIHTC affordable housing community that is dedicated to offering affordable personalized care to aging disabled DC Residents. Livingston Place at Southern Ave., is currently searching for a Human Resource Generalist who runs the daily onsite functions of the Human Resource (HR) department by maintaining adequate staffing levels through recruiting efforts, supporting scheduling efforts, and enforcing company policies and practices. The HR Generalist will be the onsite point of contact for all employee-related requests and activities.
Responsibilities
- Coordinates and maintains verified training documents in compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments; includes safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and aptitude exams and certifications
- Successfully recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions per policy; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings
- Facilitates the employee experience throughout the onboarding process
- Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications, including vaccination and additional health requirements identified
- Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to talent acquisition and recruiting, productivity and staffing, occupational health and safety, and training and development
- Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff
- Supports employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations as needed
- Maintains compliance with all Department of Health, federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommends best practices, reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION
- Associate’s degree in Human Resources or related field; Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 3-5 years of Human Resources experience
- Or equivalent combination of education and experience

Salary to be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience of the applicant, as well as the internal equity and alignment with the team.
For Washington, D.C. this ranges from $74,800.00 - $92,000.00 plus benefits and retirement program.
