Nocturnist Hospitalist to join their dynamic team at the newly built hospital, IU Health Bloomington in beautiful Bloomington, Indiana!

Position Highlights:
  • Join an established practice of physicians and advanced practice providers with excellent team leadership and supportive administration
  • Full-time, 12-hour night shifts ~ 17 weeks annually with a 7 on/14 off schedule
  • Patient care includes combination of med-surg, PCU and ICU level of care; codes are mandatory; procedures include intubation and central line
  • Services include hospital admissions, discharges and coordination with multiple disciplines and ancillaries
  • Functionally closed ICU
  • 100% inpatient

Healthcare System/Hospital Description

The new IU Health Bloomington Hospital and Regional Academic Health Center, part of the Indiana University Health Medical Group, opened in December 2021. The facility offers a personalized approach to inpatient services (including intensive care, complex surgeries and comprehensive obstetrics and gynecology services), outpatient services with leading-edge diagnostic testing, flexible space in the emergency department for post-care observation, a dedicated trauma center and a cancer infusion center.

At the same time, the facility strengthens healthcare education by providing space for collaboration and coordination of care and teaching. Students and trainees frequently come to the hospital side of the facility for clinical experiences.
