St. Charles Hospital is a 243-bed, acute care community hospital located in Port Jefferson, NY.

Hospitalist Responsibilities:

Provides and manages the care of acutely ill hospitalized patientsalongside an excellent ancillary staff with a Rapid Response Team.The successful candidate will work in a collegial and professional environment in a 7 day Block schedule. Responsibilities include: providing full or partial services to private attending physicians who elect to utilize the Hospitalist Services, attend monthly Hospitalist Meetings, get involved in qualityas well as Patient Experience committees, be able to work in a team environment, be able to provide high quality care, be able to manage an average patient caseload of 15-17 patients, and able to adapt and be flexible to new CMS regulations.

Hospitalist Qualifications:

• Doctorate degree in Medicine or Osteopathic Medicine
• ACLS/BLS Certified
• Trained in Family Practice or Internal Medicine
• Board Certified or Eligible in Internal Medicine/Family Practice
