Qualifications

• Valid nursing license (RN) in good standing with state licensing board.
• Experience in hospice, palliative medicine, critical care, ICU, emergency medicine, or medical-surgical units.
• Minimum of five years in nursing, with two years in Quality Assessment, Patient Safety, or Performance Improvement.
• Proficient in data analysis and reporting.
• Experience with EMR/EHR systems.
• Strong communication skills for diverse interactions, including triage calls and interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Knowledge of infection control practices essential for patient safety.

Responsibilities

• Elicit recommendations for quality and patient safety improvement from staff.
• Encourage reporting of occurrences without fear of reprisal.
• Investigate all occurrences systematically.
• Lead root cause analyses to address issues.
• Implement and monitor quality and performance improvement programs.
• Develop and conduct Performance Improvement education programs for staff.
• Oversee data collection, chart abstraction, and reporting activities.
