Position OverviewWe are seeking an
Engineer II to support Navy modernization efforts with expertise in
Hull, Mechanical, and Electrical (HM&E) systems and
machinery control systems. This role requires a strong technical foundation in engineering and familiarity with
Additive Manufacturing (AM) techniques to support modernization and sustainment initiatives across Navy platforms.
Key Responsibilities- Support Navy modernization projects, focusing on mechanical and electrical HM&E systems and machinery control systems.
- Apply Additive Manufacturing (AM) techniques to engineering solutions that enhance performance, readiness, and sustainability.
- Provide technical expertise in system assessments, modernization planning, and lifecycle engineering.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective integration of new technologies and processes.
- Contribute to engineering documentation, modernization plans, and technical reviews.
Required Qualifications- U.S. Citizenship (mandatory).
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working with mechanical and electrical HM&E systems or machinery control systems.
- Solid understanding of the Navy Modernization process.
- Familiarity with applying Additive Manufacturing (AM) techniques in engineering solutions.
Preferred Skills- Prior Navy or DoD program support experience.
- Knowledge of Navy logistics, sustainment, and lifecycle management processes.
- Hands-on experience with CAD/CAM or other AM-related software and tools.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
