The Opportunity Join the Rycoe team and play a key role in maintaining and repairing a diverse fleet of heavy-duty trucks, construction equipment, snow removal equipment, trailers, and hydraulic systems. We're looking for a knowledgeable, proactive mechanic who takes pride in their work, prioritizes preventative maintenance, and demonstrates accountability. What You Will Do - Perform repairs and maintenance on heavy- and medium-duty trucks, vehicles, and equipment.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
- Perform proactive preventative maintenance to minimize downtime and ensure fleet reliability.
- Ensure all vehicles and equipment meet safety and compliance standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient shop.
- Communicate repair progress, equipment concerns, and potential delays to management.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and improve efficiency.
- Maintain accurate maintenance and repair documentation.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
What We Are Looking For - Minimum 5 years medium and heavy duty repair experience
- Advanced troubleshooting and diagnostic capability
- Prior leadership or team oversight experience
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Valid NYS Driver's License (CDL A is a plus)
- Extensive knowledge of safe and efficient use of industry tools
- A professional who takes pride in doing things the right way
