As a Heavy-Duty Diesel Technician, you will play a critical role in maximizing fleet uptime by performing expert diagnostics, complex repairs, and preventative maintenance on a wide range of commercial trucks and heavy equipment.
Responsibilities- Diagnose and repair diesel trucks and heavy equipment, ensuring optimal engine performance and drivability.
- Perform preventative maintenance and complete mechanical repairs.
- Conduct full-cycle engine, transmission, and drivetrain overhauls.
- Utilize advanced computer diagnostic software to accurately identify mechanical and electrical failures.
- Troubleshoot complex engine, electrical, hydraulic, and driveline issues.
- Perform DOT and BIT inspections.
- Maintain accurate repair records and complete work orders.
- Follow all company safety policies and maintain a clean, organized work area.
Qualifications- Experience as a Heavy-Duty Diesel Technician.
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
- Proficiency using electronic diagnostic equipment and repair software.
- Ability to perform BIT inspections.
- Must own the hand tools necessary to perform general repairs and maintenance.
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record, or the ability to obtain one.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
