Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management, or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years in heavy civil construction within the New York metro area.
• Experience in estimating and bidding for large heavy civil projects such as bridges and railways.
• Prior experience in the NYC Metro area or Northeast urban environments.
• Knowledge of alternative delivery contracts (CMAR, Design-Build, etc.).
• Experience collaborating with various project stakeholders to provide feasibility data.
• Previous field operations experience is required.
• Strong organizational and time management skills. 10-hour and 30-hour OSHA certificates preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the estimating team in developing costs estimates for large civil projects.
• Analyze contract documents to generate accurate cost estimates.
• Ensure accuracy in quantity takeoffs and pricing of materials.
• Develop value engineering solutions that communicate costs, schedules, and benefits to owners.
• Prepare responses to RFQs and RFPs for new projects.
• Collaborate with accounting to assess labor and equipment costs.
• Create detailed scopes of work and project schedules.
• Work with marketing to draft proposals and technical documents.
