What You Will Do

- JOB SUMMARY

Coordinate all health and safety (H&S) matters for US Sales employees, collaborating and aligning with Americas Regional H&S and Global H&S teams on Company frameworks, H&S principles, and shared best practices. The Health & Safety Manager will be accountable for monitoring and continuously improving the health and safety management systems, ensuring compliance with H&S standards and leading indicators. A key focus of this role is to build and foster a culture of safely and wellbeing throughout the Sales organization, especially relevant for our field-based / remote employees.

Safety Culture & Engagement

Launch engagement initiatives to embed safety as a core value across US Sales organization. Build and foster a culture of safety and wellbeing through proactive leadership, communication, and recognition.

Provide competent advice to the management team and set strategies to encourage a positive behavioral safety culture. Ensure that sustainable practices are maintained through clear accountability.

Establish and implement Health & Safety policies, goals, objectives and procedures. Monitor against these and communicate progress to the relevant stakeholder.

Investigation & Governance

Design and implement standardized procedures and investigation processes for Lost Time Accidents (LTAs), incidents, and preventable accidents, including Fleet vehicles. Introduce root cause analysis methodology and corrective action tracking.

Define governance structure, roles, and accountability for investigations aligned with Employee Relations, Legal & Risk, Fleet & Travel, and Sales leadership.

Investigate incidents and create reports aligned to reporting structure and governance models.

Through effective and pragmatic approaches, seek to engage the workforce in driving H&S improvement. Provide guidance and support to employees at all levels to ensure legislation, corporate guidance, best practice initiatives, internal procedures and policies are interpreted and applied throughout the company.
Risk Monitoring & IVMS

Ensure all risks are assessed and actions taken to reduce to Company expectations.

Implement In Vehicle Monitoring Systems (IVMS) for the ITGB Fleet vehicles.

Review and interpret IVMS data; develop response and action plans for risk alerts. Launch interventions and control measures based on IVMS trends.

In conjunction with Facilities Management, host meetings for enforcement agency visits (such as local Fire Department, OSHA, etc.).

Arrange and plan Health and Safety training for Sales, including first aid and PPE.

Document and communicate safe working procedures.

Review Emergency Procedures regularly in collaboration with the Facilities Manager, Americas H&S, and Global H&S teams.

Communication & Reporting

Implement communication campaigns and recognition programs to reinforce safe behaviors.

Lead Health and Safety review meetings with Sales.

Provide monthly data insights and performance updates to Sales Leadership Team and Regional leadership, including key indicators, emerging risks, and progress against action plans.

Maintain consistent alignment with Regional and Global H&S reporting frameworks by ensuring data accuracy, timely submissions, and standardized metrics across all reporting channels.

Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

- REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Health, Public Health or related fields or High School Diploma/GED and 5+ years related work experience.
  • Experience to include, but is not limited to:
    • Creating and deploying H&S programs, processes, and procedures
    • Incident investigation, risk assessment, and root cause analysis
    • Education and training facilitation to embed safety programs
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.

- PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Work Environment and Physical Demand

  • Requires light physical effort. Occasionally lifts or moves light objects (under 10 lbs.).
  • Walks, sits, or stands for prolonged periods.
  • Requires prolonged machine operation including computer and keyboard equipment as well as use of manual dexterity and fine motor skills.

Annual Base Salary Range: $103761.00 - $138347.00

Final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and internal equity. This role may also be eligible for annual bonus or incentive compensation.
