Iroquois Memorial Hospital is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Director of Health Information Management (HIM) to join our leadership team and lead the hospital's medical records and health information operations. This opportunity offers the right candidate the opportunity to oversee the integrity, confidentiality, accessibility, and maintenance of patient health records, while ensuring compliance with applicable federal and state regulations. This role is especially important in a rural hospital setting, where effective resource management, cross-departmental collaboration, and efficient workflows are essential to delivering quality patient care.
In this role, you will collaborate closely with hospital leadership, medical staff, nursing, billing, compliance, and information technology to support accurate documentation, and effective information management. It is expected that this role will work onsite and will not be considered for remote work.
Ideal Candidate Profile- Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred
- Certified Coder
- RHIA or RHIT certification required
- Relevant experience in hospital HIM< medical records, coding or health information services
