Full Job Description
The Health Financial Senior Consultant assists Benefit Consultants in servicing the financial consulting needs of the employee benefit clients. Utilizes technical knowledge to retain clients by providing financial expertise. Role includes evaluating financial and utilization metrics for clients including but not limited to cost projections, plan design modeling and monthly financial reports as well as assisting with other ad-hoc reports and analysis. This is a client-facing role that will include some involvement in presentations at client functions and meetings.

How You Will Contribute:
  • Proficient to expert level financial/underwriting, renewal and marketing, as well as reporting, including but not limited to financial projections, large claim analysis, specific stop loss analysis, demographics analysis, IBNR, etc.
  • Work with team to develop and present financial deliverables that address current and future client needs and requests.
  • Assist in development, review, and presentation of data analytics.
  • Participate in prospective client finalist presentations to represent the Brown & Brown financial strategy and role expectation as part of the team. This may include performing demographic analysis, claims reviews, and other projects on prospective clients to assist Sales team in pursuit of prospect.
  • Oversight of Financial Analysts monthly financial reports/client exhibits and large claim detail as needed.
  • Maintains proficient/expert knowledge of compliance and regulations in the benefits arena.
  • Performs miscellaneous duties and projects.


Licenses and Certifications:
  • Active Life/Accident and Health Insurance Agent License - or must obtain within a year of employment


Skills & Experience to Be Successful:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance/Business/Economics.
  • 5+ years of employee benefits financial experience required.
  • This is a client-facing role that will include some involvement in presentations at client functions and meetings.
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite.
  • Microsoft Excel - Strong to expert-level skills.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking ability.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and exercise judgement.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.

Pay Range
$120,000 - $150,000 Annual

The pay range provided above is made in good faith and based on our lowest and highest annual salary or hourly rate paid for the role and takes into account years of experience required, geography, and/or budget for the role.
