Key responsibilitiesStrategy & product experience leadership- Define and evolve the enterprise UX strategy aligned to NexusOne's product direction and customer needs.
- Lead holistic experience design across surfaces (navigation, workflows, settings/admin, data-heavy screens, onboarding).
- Establish UX principles and quality bars; drive consistency across teams and features.
User research & customer discovery- Create an early-stage research program: interview plans, usability testing, feedback loops with Customer Success and Support.
- Synthesize insights into clear priorities and narratives that influence roadmap decisions.
- Build a research repository and ensure learnings are discoverable and actionable.
Design execution (hands-on)- Produce high-quality design artifacts (flows, wireframes, prototypes, UI specs) and work directly with engineers through build.
- Run working sessions with Product/Engineering to de-risk complex problems and converge on solutions.
- Ensure accessibility and inclusive design practices are baked into the process.
Design system & standards- Establish or mature a design system (components, tokens, patterns, usage guidance) with a pragmatic adoption plan.
- Partner with Engineering on front-end architecture implications (component libraries, theming, performance, maintainability).
Team building & operating model- Hire, mentor, and develop designers and (as needed) researchers/content design.
- Define how UX engages with Product and Engineering: intake, prioritization, design reviews, handoffs, and acceptance criteria.
- Establish cross-functional metrics and a culture of learning and continuous improvement.
Collaboration modelYou will partner closely with:
- Product leadership: clarify problems worth solving, define outcomes, and sequence roadmap.
- Engineering leadership: integrate design into delivery; ensure the UX strategy is feasible and scalable.
- Customer Success / Support: identify pain points, validate improvements, reduce friction and tickets.
- Security/Compliance stakeholders (as applicable): ensure enterprise expectations are met (roles/permissions, auditability, data handling UX).
Required qualifications- 8+ years in product design/UX (or equivalent), including experience leading design for enterprise / B2B software.
- Proven ability to operate as a founding or early-stage UX leader (01), building process and influence from scratch.
- Strong product thinking: frames problems, defines hypotheses, prioritizes ruthlessly, and measures outcomes.
- Demonstrated excellence designing complex, data-heavy workflows (admin/ops, dashboards, configuration, permissions, multi-step tasks).
- Fluency in modern design tooling (e.g., Figma) and prototyping; strong communication of rationale and trade-offs.
- Experience partnering deeply with engineering teams; understands implementation constraints and can ship iteratively.
- Ability to lead ambiguity: makes progress without perfect inputs; creates clarity for others.
Preferred qualifications- Experience creating or scaling a design system in partnership with engineering.
- Familiarity with accessibility standards (WCAG) and building accessible component libraries.
- Background designing for reliability/operability features (audit logs, RBAC, alerts, incident workflows) or platform products.
- Experience with customer-facing incident/operational workflows where clarity and trust matter.
