About the role Our Legal team, composed of legal professionals across the North America region, is integrated in the Global Legal Services department and focuses on supporting Solvay's strategic objectives, corporate governance and sustainable growth in collaboration with regional leadership teams, business units and global functions. As a Head of Legal Services, North America, you will work on legal strategy execution, risk management and business partnering to support Solvay's industrial and commercial activities across the region. You will get the opportunity to contribute to Solvay's transformation and have a positive impact on the company's sustainable growth. You will be accountable for:
  • Executing the regional legal strategy to support Solvay's growth in North America, considering broader industry shifts and public sentiment.
  • Leading the North America legal team and multiple ad hoc multi-jurisdictional and cross-functional teams, fostering an environment where different perspectives drive innovative and productive legal solutions.
  • Acting as a trusted advisor to regional and business unit leadership, delivering a broad range of legal services to support Solvay's industrial and commercial footprint in the region.
  • Assessing complex risks in a shifting regulatory landscape, particularly regarding environmental stewardship, trade and corporate integrity.
  • Collaborating with global teams to protect intellectual property and navigate complex partnerships in the region.
This position is a full-time, hybrid role. About you Master's degree in Law or equivalent professional practice is required. Credentials: Juris Doctor (J.D.) or equivalent professional degree is required. Authorized / Admitted to the practice of law in North America, in at least one U.S. jurisdiction. Minimum of 12 years of legal experience, with a significant focus on leading regional legal functions in an international environment, with significant exposure to commercial, corporate, M&A and intellectual property matters in North America. About the pay Attractive and equitable pay for all: compensation is determined within a range to foster your development in the role. The base pay expected for this role in the U.S. is $158,000 - $197,500. Your salary may ultimately be higher or lower based on your skills and experience. Additionally, we provide a competitive total rewards package that includes a bonus and/or other incentives. Benefits:
