Head of Compute and Capacity - Lithos Ai

Qualifications

• 7+ years in compute capacity, infrastructure procurement, or data-center roles at neoclouds, colo providers, OEMs, or hyperscalers.
• Experience negotiating seven-figure infrastructure contracts with detailed knowledge of commit structures and SLA remedies.
• Strong numerical acumen, comfortable discussing metrics like $/GPU-hour and effective cost per unit of performance.
• Familiarity with current GPU generations and high-speed networking technologies like InfiniBand/RoCE.
• Ability to work independently to establish processes and vendor relationships.
• Experience with AI inference or training workloads is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own the multi-year capacity plan by translating demand forecasts into hardware requirements.
• Run procurement across multiple vendors to secure GPU capacity and networking solutions.
• Lead end-to-end contract negotiations, including pricing and service level agreements.
• Build and maintain a rolling price book and vendor scorecard to track performance and pricing.
• Model total cost of ownership per unit of performance to inform capacity decisions.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure hardware compatibility with software requirements.
