Full Job Description
Job Summary:
The Head of Balance Sheet Forecasting should demonstrate commitment to delivering distinctive service. This position will be responsible for assisting the Corporate Treasurer and CFO in the coordination of the strategic management of the balance sheet with a goal of earning adequate returns. This position will support the Corporate Treasurer in the measurement and management of liquidity and sensitivity risk tolerances and establishing appropriate MIS.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provide distinctive service to clients and prospects, in person and over the telephone. Respond to client inquiries and satisfactorily resolve client issues. Support firm-wide achievement of the three-ring standard (all phones answered by a live person within three rings). Assist in the planning and production of ALCO, Executive ALCO and other reports. Assist in the planning and direction of the production calendar, monitor deliverables and deadlines in accordance with policy and procedures. Provide materials for risk reporting. Support the CFO with analysis of equity analyst reports. Support the budgeting and forecasting process for net interest income. Coordinate analytical support to the rating agency relationships. Support the Funds Transfer Pricing (FTP), Capital Stress Testing (CST) and Liquidity Stress Testing (LST) modeling processes. Contribute research to complex studies regarding liquidity and capital; communicate impactful findings to senior leaders. Effectively communicate and coordinate with the corporation's regulatory liaison office and banking regulators, as needed. Ensure proper remediation of process improvements, including self-identified, audit and regulatory matters. Support the sales force with loan and deposit pricing decisions. Participate on the Deposit Pricing and ALCO Committees. Meet all the client's financial needs, both business and personal, and refer clients to other specialty areas such as Trust, Investments, Insurance, Treasury Management, etc. as appropriate. Assist other team members as needed to ensure delivery of distinctive service. Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Minimum Education: College degree is preferred -- finance or business-related field.

Minimum Experience: Minimum of 10 years' experience in financial services.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) or related software. Proficient in Empyrean Solutions asset-liability modeling software. Knowledge of federal and state banking regulations and compliance. Broad knowledge of bank products and services. Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and concisely. Solid leadership and interpersonal skills. Ability to work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Understanding of relevant financial, mathematical, and accounting techniques. Strong analytical and modeling skills. Enthusiastic team player. Must be flexible, multi-task and prioritize daily tasks, with effective time-management skills to meet deadlines. Excellent client service skills. Tact and diplomacy in dealing with both clients and team members. The physical activities of this job include but are not limited to the ability to stand and sit for prolonged periods of time, use of manual dexterity, verbal communication, visual acuity, repetitive motion, and the ability to hear. Often long periods of mental concentration are required. Other activities are the ability to bend, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push, pull, lift, and grasp.
