Job Description

Responsibilities
• Manage hazardous materials projects including asbestos and lead investigations;
• Interpret findings and develop technical findings reports;
• Develop hazardous materials abatement plans and specifications;
• Coordinate and manage office and field staff;
• Plan, direct and coordinate activities related to complex and/or large contracts;
• Ensure that contract stipulations and company goals and objectives are accomplished within a prescribed timeframe and projected costs;
• Serve as a technical consultant to colleagues internally from senior managers to project participants; and
• Participate in marketing initiates and plans to obtain new business while promoting client satisfaction

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science or related degree or an Associate's Degree with a minimum of 5 years, including relevant state and federal certifications including, but not limited to NYSDOL, NYCDEP, and USEPA listed below
• 5-10 years of field experience in asbestos and lead management, with at least 5 years of experience within New York City
• Additional Experience with PCB's, building materials, indoor air quality and mold preferred
• Strong written and oral communication skills required
• Must be able to lift at least 30 lbs.
• Must be able to work in confined spaces
• Must be comfortable working on ladders
• Preferred Certifications: C.H.M.M., NYSDOL Asbestos Project Monitor; Inspector & Designer; NYCDEP Asbestos Investigator; and USEPA Lead Risk Assessor
