The candidate will lead staff in the preparation of civil engineering design and permitting documents and have experience successfully executing land development / redevelopment projects. Candidates with experience in environmental assessment and remediation will also be considered.
Candidate must have experience with site assessment, remediation, and brownfield redevelopment preferably in both the private and public sectors. Building on AKRF's existing client base in the region, the candidate will play a key role in expanding the environmental practice and will be expected to contribute to the identification and development of new clients and business.
Preparing engineering analyses for slope stability, settlement and consolidation estimates, deep foundation design (compressive, uplift, and lateral capacities), mat foundation design, ground surcharging, and ground improvement techniques (soil grouting, ground freezing, etc.),
Experience performing/leading industrial hygiene surveys and audits; indoor air quality (IAQ) and sick building assessments, environmental, health and safety (EH&S)/occupational safety training; and medical monitoring program oversight.
Specific experience in more than one of the following areas is required: stream restoration/natural channel design, storm water BMP/green infrastructure design, hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, ecological landscape design, fluvial geomorphic analysis/assessment, and wetland restoration design.
Participating in the development, execution, supervision, and coordination of all technical aspects of field engineering assignments including but not limited to: development of plans, schedules, contracts, procedures, and construction methods and systems.
