  • Build and improve pipelines for ingesting, processing, and displaying large data sets like national election results and statistical models.
  • Facilitate and guide contributions from other developers to our core software libraries.
  • Maintain automatic cloud tooling to support high-frequency publishing, data ingestion and data analysis.
  • Sketch and quickly build prototypes of interactive applications, graphics and other types of multimedia story forms.
  • Ensure compliance with web performance and accessibility standards.
  • Collaborate on news deadlines with a multidisciplinary team.
  • Demonstrate support and understanding of our value of journalistic independence and a strong commitment to our mission to seek the truth and help people understand the world.
  • You will report to the Director of Interactive Platforms

Basic Qualifications:

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Proven experience meeting deadlines and adapting to change in a daily, unpredictable news production environment
  • Skill in interface design and information graphic design
  • Curiosity and interest in the news, and in finding innovative approaches to telling stories
