Summary:
The Level II Grants Management SME provides hands-on grant administration and technical assistance throughout the federal grant lifecycle.
Responsibilities
Essential Job Functions:
- Supporting grant application, award, amendment, monitoring, reporting, and closeout activities
- Reviewing grant files for completeness, eligibility, and compliance
- Providing technical assistance to grant recipients and applicants
- Responding to grant-program questions through email, telephone, or help-desk systems
- Tracking deadlines, recipient submissions, correspondence, and required documentation
- Supporting financial and programmatic monitoring activities
- Researching applicable policies, regulations, and program guidance
- Documenting issues and recommending appropriate corrective actions
- Escalating complex or unusual matters to a Level III SME or project manager
Qualifications
Necessary Skills and Knowledge:
- Knowledge of grants management methods and procedures sufficient to administer awards and modifications
- Ability to analyze recipient financial data and performance reports for compliance
- Skill in written and oral communications to present analysis and findings
- Skill in negotiation and resolution of issues with recipients and program officials
- Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines with moderate independence
- Potential ability to analyze difficult grants management issues and identify alternative courses of action
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma
- Minimum 3 years of experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
Pay and Benefits
The annual salary range for this position is $85,000 to $115,000.
