Full Job Description
About the Role

As our General Manager, New Verticals, you'll build and scale one of Prosper's newest healthcare businesses from the ground up. As we expand beyond our core services, we're launching entirely new care offerings that will allow us to serve autistic and neurodivergent adults more comprehensively. Each new business introduces its own operating model, economics, regulatory landscape, and growth strategy-and we're looking for an exceptional operator to own one end-to-end.

You'll join during the earliest stages of the build, partnering closely with our Strategic Initiatives team to shape how the business launches before taking full ownership as its General Manager. You'll be responsible for everything from market expansion and operational design to clinical quality, staffing strategy, business performance, and long-term growth. Over time, you'll build the team, operating model, and infrastructure needed to scale the business into a major part of Prosper.

This is a unique opportunity to build and run a business inside one of healthcare's fastest-growing startups. You'll work closely with Clinical Leadership, Product, Engineering, Analytics, Compliance, Operations, and executive leadership to solve some of Prosper's most important strategic challenges while expanding access to high-quality care.

You'll thrive in this role if you're an entrepreneurial operator who loves building from 01. You're equally comfortable thinking strategically, diving into complex analyses, designing new operating models, and rolling up your sleeves to execute. You enjoy ambiguity, move quickly, and take ownership of outcomes from start to finish.
You Will

Own the business strategy. Help build what we believe will become one of Prosper's largest and most impactful businesses, making high-impact decisions across expansion, operations, staffing, and business performance.

Design and scale the operating model. Build the systems, workflows, and operating processes that allow the business to scale efficiently while delivering an exceptional experience for both clients and clinicians.

Develop the market expansion strategy. Determine how and where the business expands, balancing growth opportunities with operational readiness, regulatory requirements, clinical quality, and business impact.

Own business performance. Build the operating dashboards, financial models, and business reviews that guide decision-making. Oversee clinical performance initiatives, including the Clinical Excellence Program (CEP) for psychiatry, while continuously improving provider performance, client outcomes, operational efficiency, unit economics, and long-term profitability.

Navigate a complex regulatory environment. Partner closely with Clinical Leadership, Legal, and Compliance to build scalable operating practices that enable sustainable growth while maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance.

Lead high-impact cross-functional initiatives. Work closely with Clinical Leadership, Product, Engineering, Analytics, Operations, Provider Growth, and executive leadership to remove constraints, launch new capabilities, and accelerate growth.

Build and scale a high-performing team. Over time, hire and develop the organization needed to support the business, creating clear operating rhythms, accountability, and a culture of high performance.
About You
  • 7-10+ years of experience in general management, strategy & operations, business operations, consulting, investing, product, or another highly analytical operating role. Experience building in a fast-paced startup environment is strongly preferred.
  • Experienced builder. You've built and scaled a new business, product, function, or operating model from an early stage. You're energized by ambiguity and know how to create structure where none exists.
  • Exceptional ownership. You operate like the business is yours. You proactively identify problems, make decisions, and drive outcomes without waiting for direction.
  • Comfortable operating alongside clinical teams. You're excited to partner closely with clinical leaders, develop a deep understanding of clinical workflows and quality, and make thoughtful business decisions that support exceptional care.
  • Strong strategic problem solver. You break down ambiguous problems, identify the highest-leverage opportunities, and build thoughtful strategies grounded in first-principles thinking.
  • People builder. You've built or led high-performing teams and know how to create accountability, alignment, and strong operating cadence.
  • Operationally rigorous. You bring precision and consistency to your work, whether that's from experience in a regulated industry, clinical operations, or any field where getting the details right is non-negotiable.
