Full Job Description
JOB SUMMARY

Develop strategies for and manage the execution of the design, creation, validation and sourcing of custom mechanical tooling. Establish standards, processes and management tools to enable effective execution. Identify demand and properly staff to meet demand. Provide functional management for all tool creation activities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Oversees key projects, processes and performance reports, data and analysis.
• Trains staff when needed. Role does not manage direct reports.
• Develop and maintain global tooling standards
• Develop global tooling acquisition processes
• Works with the Commodity Management team to develop tool manufacturing supply chains
• Analyzes technology trends, human resources needs and market demand to plan projects.
• Confers with management and production staff to determine engineering feasibility and cost effectiveness.
• Develops, determines and implements policies, procedures and programs.
• Ensures team uses proper documentation practices.
• Supports tooling engineering on legacy programs at suppliers.
• Support customer meeting, during NPI and launch phase
• Primary customer interface on legacy tooling support
• May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS
KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS
• Demonstrated knowledge of Injection mould tooling build.
• Demonstrated knowledge of injection mould tooling repair.
• Demonstrated experience and knowledge of tooling design, mold-flow analysis, etc.
• Demonstrated hands-on knowledge and expertise on Injection molding process, preferably with different resin types as PVC, ABS, PC-ABS, etc.
• Experienced user of Autovue or other 3D CAD software program.
• Strong knowledge of global and regional logistics operations and industry.
• Strong proficiency in determining logistics requirements to enable company's business goals and objectives with ability to devise and implement strategy to achieve targets.
• Strong financial and analytical ability. Proficiency in managing business analytics to determine optimum company footprint.
• Strong knowledge of international direct and indirect taxes as well as global customs regimes.
• Proven track record of successful change management accomplishments, implementing and management continuous productivity and cost reduction programs.
• Strong and convincing communication skills.
• Proficiency in use of personal computers, Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) and e-mail skills required.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
• 50% of travel required for onsite troubleshooting
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Plus 10+ years of experience in managing the design, creation and validation of custom mechanical tooling within a manufacturing environment using injection molding, progressive dye, stamping and casting.
• Plus 5 years of demonstrated experience in related business management.
• Or a combination of education, experience and/or training.
