Introduction

The Global Product Manager - Butterfly Control Valves / Globe Valves owns the upstream product lifecycle globally and is, together with peer roles in regional product management and the respective PO in Innovation, responsible for the long-term success of Belimo's Butterfly Control Valve / Globe Valve portfolio. The role defines portfolio strategy, product roadmaps, and product requirements based on market, customer, competitive, regional, regulatory, and technology insights.

The Global Product Manager - Butterfly Control Valves / Globe Valves works closely with Regional PMs to align global and regional priorities, partners with Innovation, Supply Chain, and PMO throughout product development and industrialization, and supports the regions during product launch, post-launch management, q-case resolution, and phase-out activities. Through regular portfolio reviews, the role ensures effective end-to-end management of the Butterfly Control Valve and Globe Valve product categories and drives sustainable growth, competitiveness, and customer value.
Key Responsibilities

Product strategy

• Develop and maintain the Butterfly Control Valve and Globe Valve product strategy in close collaboration with the international category team, consisting of the regional PMs and a PO from Innovation, considering the strategic guidance from the BL Core Team Control Valves, the Belimo growth strategy and other overarching strategies
• Actively seek customer and sales inputs in collaboration with regional PMs
• Translate strategy into roadmaps, priorities, and lifecycle actions

Product development and industrialization

• Collaborate actively during the development of new products (PCP process)
• Timely create the required deliverables in high quality as defined in the pre-PCP and PCP processes and List of Documents (e.g., stakeholder requirements, MCD, BCC)
• Consolidate and align regional inputs and act as single point of contact for PM aspects for the PO, PMO from Innovation, and Manufacturing Engineering
• Participate in formal reviews of system requirements and other technical documentation
• Enable fast decision-making, using a fact- and data-based approach, and ensure stability of decisions

Customer validation and field testing

• Plan, and execute validation scenarios with internal and external customers to ensure product-market fit
• Plan and coordinate global field tests

Price positioning and value proposition

• Define the strategic pricing for the Butterfly Control Valve and Global Valve ranges together with Regional Product Management.
• Define the global value proposition of the new solutions and substantiate the key selling propositions

Product lifecycle management

• Drive creation of technical documentation
• Provide key milestones to regional launch plans
• Support the creation of regional launch and training concepts
• Support the Regional PMs during the creation of sales enablement, marketing, and training tools
• Support internal and external trainings of (new) products, including product demonstrations
• Support the quick resolution of quality cases
• Define preferred product offering and configurable options within VC
• Plan and track Phase-In/Phase-out transition
• Track commercial success and relevant KPIs for the Butterfly Control Valve and Globe Valve categories, identify gaps, trigger root cause analysis, and suggest countermeasures
• Closely collect early market feedback and immediately trigger action

Required Expertise

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, natural sciences, or an equivalent combination of education and technical / professional experience
• 5+ years of product management experience
• 5+ years of experience in the manufacturing industry for building automation or HVAC control
• Experience with data center applications is a strong advantage
• Global Travel requirement is 15 -20%
• Proven track record of meeting project timelines, recognizes roadblocks and provides solution-oriented options to overcome them
• Ability to identify suitable solution approaches and executes them by involving the right stakeholders
• Collaborative and trustworthy personality with high integrity
• Analytical, structured, and fact-based problem-solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English

Compensation & Benefits
Belimo is committed to paying all employees in a fair, equitable and transparent manner. The salary for this position is $120,000 - $140,000 with an annual bonus up to 15%. Compensation is based on several factors including geographic location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, education and experience.
