Full Job Description
Location: Remote (East Coast near International Hub preferred)
Travel: Up to 50%
Salary: $180,000 - $220,000 + Bonus

The Global Key Account Manager is responsible for leading, planning and executing the joint value creation relationship between the business and its most important strategic customer(s). The Global Strategic Account Manager is responsible for delivering and maintaining Lubrizol's position as a strategic supplier. As the global lead for the account, the role engages in a variety of activities that include strategic account planning, organizational alignment, joint value creation, reputation and relationship management, operational and outcome management. The Global Strategic Account Manager is expected to build broad and deep relationship with the customer including facilitating C level connections to drive adoption of Lubrizol products, services, and business models.

How You'll Make an Impact
  • Develop, execute, and communicate the strategic account strategy which delivers long term year on year growth.
  • Coordinate and lead regional multifunctional teams involved with strategic account to achieve results and account objectives.
  • Assess/optimize channels to market and finalize multimillion contract negotiations covering price, supply, and all commercial terms.
  • Manage the development and effectiveness of joint value creation through understanding of unmet needs and aligning with Lubrizol organizational capabilities and priorities.
  • Deliver and co-lead innovation projects for next generation product design.
  • Lead all global contract negotiations and oversee all regional supply agreements.
  • Drive strategy change within LLS by bringing external insights to team members, internal partners and business management regarding business development, competition activity, consumer insights and sustainability.


Required Qualifications that Enable Your Success
  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Engineering, Physics, or Business from an accredited college/university.
  • Minimum of 10 years of professional experience, at least 5 years of specific industry experience.
  • Strong knowledge of the Life science market particularly Home and Beauty.


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Experience in managing large, complex, global, or multi-regional accounts.
  • Demonstrated ability to think and act both tactically and strategically.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal abilities and strong drive for results.
  • Ability to work in a matrix organization and develop senior relationships with internal partners including customer service, supply chain, platform, marketing and research and development.
  • High degree of strategic thinking with ability to develop a short, medium and long-term vision for the strategic account.
  • Demonstrated abilities and successes in implementing new product, solution, technology, and value selling programs.
