Full Job Description
Job Description

At onsemi, Global Account Managers have executive-level visibility and own the strategy, growth, and global engagement model for assigned strategic automotive accounts. This role is accountable for positioning onsemi as a strategic supplier, expanding market share, and delivering consistent, sustainable, and profitable revenue growth. The successful candidate will become the expert on the customer, translate market and customer insight into a clear account strategy, build relationships across executive, commercial, technical, quality, operations, and supply-chain organizations, and lead a global cross-functional account team through influence.

This is an opportunity to lead a strategically important global customer relationship with significant responsibility, autonomy, and access to senior leaders across onsemi. You will work in a fast-paced, international environment where your ability to shape strategy, influence decisions, and secure new business will have a direct impact on growth.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a multi-year global account strategy aligned with customer priorities, market dynamics, onsemi and Business Unit strategies, product roadmaps, and highest-value growth opportunities.
  • Set measurable targets for revenue, profitability, market share, Design Ins (DINs), Design Wins (DWINs), and funnel progression.
  • Lead the global account team through influence by setting clear roles, priorities, owners, timelines, and accountability across Sales, Field Applications Engineering, Business Units, Marketing, Finance, Quality, Operations, Supply Chain, Legal, and regional teams.
  • Identify barriers and risks early, recommend mitigation plans, and escalate clear options when leadership support is needed.
  • Present concise, data-driven account strategies, business reviews, business cases, risks, and recommendations to secure leadership alignment, investment, and resources.
  • Coordinate global support across onsemi and maintain current knowledge of the customer's footprint, decision structure, supply chain, manufacturing partners, Tier-1 and OEM relationships, and other sourcing influencers.
  • Own the customer relationship map and build trusted relationships with executive, commercial, engineering, quality, operations, and supply-chain stakeholders.
  • Own new-business creation and Design Win execution across project, platform, system, and device levels. Partner across onsemi and customer teams to build the Design In (DIN) funnel and convert priorities into Design Wins (DWINs).
  • Lead commercial negotiations by aligning decision makers, balancing customer value with onsemi objectives, managing risk, and driving mutually beneficial outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate opportunity, funnel, forecast, action, and account-strategy data in Salesforce and other approved tools; track progress and provide reliable visibility to performance, risks, and outlook.
  • Understand onsemi's portfolio, roadmaps, value propositions, manufacturing footprint, and investment priorities, and translate them into differentiated system-level solutions.
  • Partner with Business Units and Marketing on competitive intelligence, pricing, and contract strategy, and use customer insights to influence roadmaps, investments, resources, and go-to-market decisions.
  • Provide accurate demand and revenue forecasts, flag material changes and risks early, and ensure customer requests are acknowledged, assigned, tracked, and resolved with the appropriate teams.

Qualifications

The successful candidate is a strategic, customer-focused sales leader who combines commercial judgment, technical curiosity, executive presence, and disciplined execution. They are comfortable operating through ambiguity, challenge assumptions constructively, communicate complex topics concisely, and mobilize global cross-functional teams without relying on formal authority. They take ownership, bring solutions rather than only identifying problems, and consistently balance customer priorities with onsemi's long-term growth and profitability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, marketing, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Ten or more years of progressively responsible sales, account-management, or business-development experience, with a demonstrated record of securing Design Wins, growing profitable revenue, and supporting complex multinational customers.
  • Executive-level communication, presentation, listening, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to translate complex commercial and technical topics into concise recommendations for customer and onsemi stakeholders.
  • Proven success leading global, cross-functional account teams through influence to secure Design Wins, execute account strategies, and grow revenue.
  • Previous experience in the semiconductor industry, particularly working with automotive accounts, preferred.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Fluency (written and oral) in English.
  • Ability to travel approximately 25% or as needed to support customer engagements, internal alignment, and strategic account objectives.
  • Location: Livonia, Michigan
