Full Job Description
JLP Services Inc. is currently seeking an experienced Geotechnical Field Services Lead. JLP currently provides a range of Geotechnical Services, including but not limited to: Materials Testing and Inspection, Geotechnical Investigation, Slope Stability Analysis and Foundation Design and Recommendations.

Please note that position requires a minimum of 12 years of local southwestern Ontario experience.

Role Responsibilities:

The Geotechnical Field Services Lead will oversee training, leading and a team of field technicians. Management and coordination of a wide variety of materials testing and inspection projects, not limited to industrial, commercial, residential developments and road reconstruction/rehabilitation projects. The work may involves completing site visits, meetings, complex footing and subgrade inspections as well as troubleshooting of on-site issues that may arise during earthworks activities.

Qualifications:
  • Civil Engineering diploma, preferably with a focus on Geotechnical Engineering and/or Civil Engineering.
  • CCIL Certifications

Skills:
  • Exceptional interpersonal, organizational and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including technical writing ability.
  • An understanding of materials testing and inspection, road reconstruction, rebar inspection and general construction practices.

Education and Experience:
  • Diploma or degree in Environmental Science or Civil Engineering.
